The incredible India Tour within 14 days takes us into the depthness of oldest civilizations of the world. India, the center of eastern traditions is spiritually sacred site for Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism. This multilingual, multicultural, and multireligious country has been delights of travelers since the earliest times. From the majestic Himalayas to the tropical forests of Western Ghats, perhaps India is the most diverse and incredible country in the world. Further, India at the one hand showcases the adaptation of modern civilization's achievements through its technology and on the other hand it still practices the values of middle ages and beyond.
This extensive tour covers the political center of Indian capital, New Delhi and its cultural, historical, and religious important sites. The tour further encompasses Varanasi, perhaps the cradle of Hindu Civilization to Khajuraho temple, known for exotic and erotic architecture from millennia back. This journey offers the touch of holy Ganges in Varanasi to the exotic temples in Khajuraho to the cultural and geographical wonders of north western India passing by the ancient city Udaipur. Along with the chance of immersion into the colorful life of Orchha, Jaipur and Mumbai, we include ourselves into one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Taj Mahal.
Day 01: Arrival at Delhi, India
Upon our arrival in Delhi airport, a representative from Malla Treks will escort us to our hotel. After few hours' relaxation and refreshment, upon our discretion we make short excursion around the traditional bazaars as well as few historic and monumental sites in Delhi. Day 02-03: Full sightseeing within Old and New Delhi
Upon our breakfast, we head for complete excursion of this 5,000 years old eternal city. We visit the historic monuments of Qutab Minar, Lotus Temple, India Gate, Parliament House, Birla Temple, and Raj Ghat. Along with these sites, we further walk to the majestic Red Fort, the beautiful marvels covered in red sandstone. After strolling around Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India that was built by Emperor Shah Jahan of the Taj Mahal, we will be at Rajghat - a memorial of Mahatma Gandhi. After exploring the Old Delhi monuments, we visit Presidential Palace and the India Gate, a memorable monument built in the honor of Indian soldiers. Finally, we will be at Qutub Minar, one of the tallest towers in the world. Overnight at hotel in Delhi.
Day 04: Flight from Delhi to Varanasi
Upon arrival in Varanasi, we take few hours rest at hotel and make our short excursion around this holy city. Varanasi is older than history situated on the banks of the river Gange. The city is also center of learning for Hinduism and pilgrimage. Overnight at hotel in Varanasi
Day 05: Varanasi Sightseeing
Today, we visit Sarnath at 9 km from Varanasi. After gaining enlightenment in Bodh Gaya, Buddha came to Sarnath where he gave his first sermon at the Deer Park, thus setting in motion the Wheel of Dhamma. Similarly, Emperor Ashoka (c 304-232 BC) visited Sarnath around 234 BC, and erected a stupa here. Ashoka was a great warrior, but later spread Buddha's message of love and compassion. Then, we return Varanasi to enjoy the evening religious practice of Arati. Our guide will also explain the meaning of the rituals and chants that take place during the Arati. Overnight at Varanasi
Day 06: Flight from Varanasi to Khajuraho
We take our breakfast and fly to Khajuraho. On our arrival at Khajuraho, we check into Hotel. Then we make a tour of the world renowned exotic temples of the Western, Eastern and Southern Khajuraho. Besides the eroticism that the temple is famous for, the Khajuraho Temples also celebrate womanhood and various aspects of feminine self. The carvings depict women in various chores of their daily life: from writing a letter, applying eye makeup, combing her tresses, dancing and playing with her child.

Day 07: Drive from Khajuraho to Orchha:170 km, 4 hrs
After breakfast, we drive to Orchha. The medieval town Orchha was founded by Bundela rulers with palaces and temples during the 16th and 17th century. An interesting feature of the town is that it is attractively flanked by the River Betwa. Orcha, above all is famous for wonderful complex of well-preserved palaces and temples. At Orcha, we visit at the Raj Mandir, Jahangir Palace and Ram Raja Temple. We further make trip to the legendary land of brave warriors – Jhansi. Overnight at Orchha
Day 08: Orchha to Agra Sightseeing
After taking the morning breakfast in hotel, we pay our visit to Taj Mahal, a World Heritage Site. The Taj Mahal is the finest amalgam of love and architecture and of the great wonders of the world. We also visit Agra Fort, a large fortified strategic point of Mughal Empire. Started in 1565, it took eight years to complete its construction. We further visit Itmad-Ud-Daulah's Tomb, also sometimes referred as the "draft" of the Taj Mahal. Overnight at Agra Hotel
Day 09: Drive from Agra to Jaipur (250 km, 5 hrs)
Also called The ‘eternal Pink city’ enclosed within hills, founded by Maharaja Jai Singh II, is Rajasthan’s capital. Upon arrival at Jaipur, we make an excursion to the 16th century Amber fort where we enjoy elephant ride. The fort was built by Akbar's Rajput Commander, Raja Man Singh. We further visit and shop at textile industry. Other attractions of Jaipur are the City Palace of Jaipur, Hawa Mahal or Wind Palace and Jantar Mantar or observatory which was built by Raja Jai Singh. Finally we will be at Laxmi Narayan Temple. Overnight at Jaipur Hotel
Day 10: Drive from Jaipur to Udaipur: 450 km, 6 hrs
Upon our fantastic drive from Jaipur to Udaipur, we will check in hotel at Udaipur and have rest for next day's sight seen within Udaipur. The inimitable Lake city! Unlike its desert counterparts, Udaipur is situated in the forested hilly region of the Aravalli Ranges.
Day 11: Udaipur Sightseeing
Today, we make a full-day sightseeing tour of Udaipur. We pay our visit to the 16th century City Palace. The major attractions inside the Palace are Durbar Hall, Palace Museum, Jagdish Temple, and Crystal Gallery. We may also find it interesting to visit Saheli ki Bari meaning Friends' Garden, a small decorated garden, created in honor of Royal Ladies for entertaining purpose. Finally, we make our excursions to Ranakpur’s famous Jain Temple and the Eklingji Temple where we explore the impressive temple ruins at Nagda.
Day 12: Flight from Udaipur to Mumbai
Upon our retreat from the depths of Indian, Mumbai gives us drastic pictures of India. Mumbai, the Indian economic hub is also center of world second largest film industry. For generations, Mumbai has welcomed travelers from around the world. At next day's excursion we admire its colonial heritage, try one of its myriad restaurants, or experience its world class nightlife and shopping avenues. Since, to have complete visual picture of Mumbai for next day we take this night as a refreshing night either within hotel or nightlife in Mumbai. Overnight in Mumbai
Day 13: Full day excursion within Mumbai
Today, we will be at Gateway of India, the historic landmark and also stroll at scenic Marine Drive (Pearl’s Necklace). Along with this, the remarkable other sites we visit in Mumbai are Hanging Gardens to view sunsets over the Arabian Sea, Prince of Wales Museum, Flora Fountain, Dhobi Ghat, Jain Temple, Mani Bhavan. We further explore vibrant Markets and Banganga to see the Sacred Tank.
Day 14: Farewell Day
Our incredible India tour concludes today! A representative from Malla Treks will escort us to the airport for our onward journey to home.
